The reviews here are funnier than the actual shows lol
Synopsis
It follows Catherine Ravenscroft, a television documentary journalist whose work is built on exposing the transgressions of long-respected institutions. Gary Oldman was originally rumored to be cast but was replaced by Kevin Kline.. How on earth did Alfonso Cuaron manage to make such a terrible show?
The narration is unnatural and has a strangely choppy sound quality
Right from the start, the two young men on the train in the first scene are irritating and the mediocre acting continues from there. Even Kevin Klein, who usually can do no wrong in my eyes, seems to be phoning it in. It’s like the actors have no idea how they’re supposed to play their characters.
Cody Smith-McPhee is sad as a wet rag
I’m guessing the narrative is lifted straight from the book, but it doesn’t always make sense in the context of the TV show. For example, sometimes the narrative is directed at Cate Blanchett’s character for her own experiences, which is just weird. Sacha Baron Cohen looks out of place and sometimes gets strangely hysterical.
It’s all a bit weird
One star for the cute cat.. The last season of "What we do in the shadows" is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres this month. Check out our October calendar for more!
