This is a reference to the first program most people write when learning to code or starting with a new programming language. It is one of the most basic programs a person can write, and not only as a first step for beginners, but also as a confirmation that the development environment is set up correctly. I Love YouWritten by Chris Weitz and Alex WestonPerformed by Alex Weston. I wasn’t expecting much from Afraid but it proved to be an entertaining watch – if you accept that it is – a thriller about a fast little AI, not heavy sci-fi. John Cho and Katherine Waterston are talented actors. The dialogue manages to portray a fairly believable family dynamic, despite not having much to work with in terms of character details or backstory and the occasional clunky moment.
Wisely it won’t overstay its welcome as it has a short runtime
They are able to remove processes between them where fewer actors make this more likely to go straight to stream or disc. Where it scores is the undeniably awesome AI and how easily it connects to the characters. It made me think of other recent AI or technology related movies like Megan, T. I.
M and Kimi and I think if you like one of these you will enjoy most of them
Aw.I was also thinking about the Netflix movie House/Wife (formerly known as Ivy), but reportedly not released for tax reasons. Afraid seems to contain many of the plot details reported in the film and it will be fun to see how much. Thanks Netflix.
